Tom Zogas

American, b. 1990
Tom Zogas was born in Rochester, NY, in 1990. He is currently pursuing a degree in glass sculpture from the School for American Crafts at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Zogas’s work with blown glass investigates the optical, physical, and historical aspects of the material.
Zogas received the 2012 Glass Art Society Flameworking Scholarship, and an honorable mention in the 2012 Glass Art Society International Student Exhibition. In 2012, he was chosen as a winner of Metaproject 02, a Rochester Institute of Technology student design competition, in collaboration with The Corning Museum of Glass. Zogas has also been awarded several scholarships from The Studio at The Corning Museum of Glass.
