Bowls explored glass, paper, and fire. Inspired by the pads of wet newspaper used by glassblowers to shape hot glass, soaked rolled paper molds were used to form the molten glass. The glassmakers blew into the form, and the heat burned off the paper leaving the shape and imprint of the paper mold on the glass.
